Darlene's passion is to
transform a surface, whether a canvas or a wall, into a great source
of joy and beauty.
Darlene began her artistic career from the time she could hold a
brush. In 1989, as a graduate student from the LaJolla Academy of
Advertising Arts, she designed, illustrated, composed layouts for
media presentation. Subsequently, as a professional, she worked in
television. She has spent time studying in Europe; especially in
the mediums of pastel and multi media in France, Terra puzuli, Metzo
Fresco and Secco Fresco in New York, old world egg tempera, acrylic,
oil, charcoal, pen and ink, as well as, water color in California.
She has two fine art degrees; the first in ceramics and figurative
sculpture. The second emphasizes drawing and painting. Since 2003,
she has concentrated on custom fine art, portraits and murals.
